Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

I am nearing the 25th week. 111 Days to go!!!

I feel good - not GREAT - but I think good is all that can be asked for. I am officially giving birth to a basketball. Sleep is getting harder and harder every night. The weight of the belly is just so uncomfortable. And I panic when I wake up on my back -

I have that bladder infection which is going away thanks to the meds. I have a dr. appointment tomorrow so I'll give you an update then. 16 pounds so far and NOTHING fits and I am VERY cold because I only have one preggie sweater!!!!

Jenny: Does your DH have any big sweatshirts you can wear?

He does...I am just not wanting to feel frumpy!

His sweatshirts go to my knees...He's 6'1', I am 5'1'!

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

Honestly? I'm so READY for this kid to join us in our world! I am TREMENDOUS and feeling it. I NEVER sleep, between reflux and being so LARGE I can't move, my limbs are swollen like tree trunks, and I have BH contractions that are so intense at times that I need to sit and wait for them to pass.

BUT... in the grand scheme of things this hasn't been a difficult pregnancy at all, so I REALLY should shut up.

I'm 12 weeks and feel good. I have a little belly now and I'm waiting for it to just pop out soon so that people who see me don't think I'm just getting chubbier.

:)
I'm 7 weeks and I feel like my face is really ROUND these days and I'm sleeping way too much.
Other than that, I feel good.
And I'm looking forward to joining you all!

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

You asked so here goes
I am D O N E, done being pregnant. For many, many years I looked forward to being pregnant and I honestly feel sorta let-down by my pregnancy. Let down is probably not the right word to describe my feelings but it is the only word I can think of right now. I wanted sooo badly to enjoy this and I am just not. I know many women feel this way towards the end. I think it is nature's way of getting you ready for labor BUT my problems started back in May (I was only 3 months then) and have only gotten worse since. THANK GOD it is me who is effected and not my baby. I do realize that MANY women have MUCH, MUCH more serious pregnacy related problems so I am fortunate in many ways. I recognize that, although when I am in a lot of pain or having to do the GD shots I don't always see that.

Both Jenns- I have a maternity support belt from BRU and it really helps with the belly weight and sleeping.

lots of hugs to you Michele. Sorry it wasn't the way you'd always envisioned it would be.

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

Michele, nobody ever told me how much it was going to HURT. Being pregnant in general….I don’t know if I am the only one who feels that way. I mean, for the most part I feel good - but I am only at 24.5 weeks - but the discomfort and a lot of time pain is just really surprising. I don’t feel at all like taking a walk, doing my yoga, going shopping, etc. I just want to lay down all the time and put my feet up. I can't imagine how you are getting through with all the shots, etc. It's just too much! I know that my sister always got into a weird frame of mind towards the end. A very - get this thing out of me feeling - and I wouldn’t get upset with myself for feeling this way. Your body has been carrying this for a long time and it's no easy thing. It's very hard actually - hard to get up, sleep, dress, eat, function really….I hear you on this sweetie….pregnancy is not all vibrant glowing and proud growing. It's a lot more ligament pain and strange contraction feelings if you ask me!

Michele, you are not the 1st and you will not be the last. A lot of women make it seem like it is so glorious, but in reality there are a lot of others that have it rough. Feel what you must, but in the end you are going to have your little bundle of joy and hopefully it will be all worth it.

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

11 weeks and I feel great. However,I have notice that I'm much more tired lately.Besides that I feel fine. I am a bit concerned because Gestional Diabetes runs in my family. I remember what my mother went through with my little brothers (we have a 17 and 16 year age difference). So I am trying to eat well and stay healthy. Michele I know how you must feel my mother has 4 sisters and they all had gestional diabetes during all of the pregnancies. I know there is a very high chance that I will also have the same the problem. But in the big scheme of things it will all be worth any pain pain or discomfort I will have to endure to just to have a healthy baby.

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

Jenny I hear you loud and clear, and I HOPE your suffering gets better rather than worse.

I was not a happy pregnant person (I feel like I'm renting my body to a tenant who is trashing the property!), but I certainly wasn't miserable until 2 weeks ago, and I sincerely hope that you (and every other mom-to-be on here) do not EVER feel this way.

Michele do you really recommend that belt? I only have 5 weeks to go, so I hesitate to spend any more $$.

Re: Prego's one & all...how are you all feeling?

I would get the belt, save the receipt and try it for a few days. For $30 if you get some sleep it is worth it to me, and it can also help you during the day. If after 3-4 days you have no relief just return it.
