Re: Preparing for our ROAD TRIP!!!! Suggestions...
We brought soooo many CDs but the best idea we had when we drove down to FL (without stopping except for gas) was to bring sandwiches and drinks. A blanket/pillow was useful too.

FH and I always make a bunch of mixed CDs, instead of bringing specific bands' music. Also, definitely bring a cooler and stuff it full of sandwiches, bottled water, snacks and chocolate.

I love driving to Sarah McLaughlin and John Mayer...More important than music is FOOD though!!!! Pack a ton of snacky food and water, etc. My FH goes through tons of the energy bars, so I packed a ton of those, Sun Chips, bottles of Poland Spring, etc.
Have a great time Shana!

I found Red Bulls helpful when driving overnight. Some DMB always made my trips more enjoyable.

When we drove cross country, We bought one of those portable DVD players and brought a ton of DVD's. We took turns driving so we both got to use it. If you do get it, make sure you buy headphones so that the person driving can still listen to the radio. Also pack some snacks, little bags of chips, candy, soda, water. Maybe some magazines, crossword puzzles, a book. These are some things we brought along with us on our cross country trip! Have a safe trip!!

I love Tom Petty for driving. ( or passengering actually)
Bring Tylenol or something, b/c/ if it is hot and /or sunny while being in the car you may get headaches ( I do, even if I have sunglasses on)

We were just driving for 6 hours, but the best thing we did was to bring one of those books on tape (CD really). It was such a good idea! We got a John Grisham book which was pretty entertaining. I think you can borrow them from libraries if you don't want to buy.
