This topic can get very heated..you sure you want to do this...I feel very strongly that if you do not know what the policies are of your candidate then you shouldn't be voting.

People constantly say they like someone but then you ask them why and they can't give you an answer or tell you anything that person stands for.
They only quote what the candidates say in speeches..which no matter who they are..it's all BS...It's their voting record that counts.. the policies they are for or against.

The thing is..I would be tempted to call people out and say..ok tell me what you like about him regarding his record and policies..what does he stand for regarding taxes, economy, environment,health care.

I'd be supper annoying with it.... I may just look now....although...it's hard for me to keep quiet too....

I'm voting for McCain. I usually vote Democrat (I'm an Independent) but I am willing to cross party lines to vote for who I think will do the best job.

I like him because although he's a republican (a party whose policies I rarely agree with), he's proven to be very bipartisan and will back something if it's right for the people, regardless if it's a liberal leaning or conservative leaning idea.

Well - This is kind of why I was asking - I Do do a Lot of research - But other's points of view are usually helpful to see things in different perspectives which I think is important....I am so sorry...I really didn't mean to start anything....

FH Never wants to talk about it either for the exact same reason - I have been feeling the need to discuss it though - I am perturbed by the slander and what not - I really wanted to vote this year and I am soo dissapointed with the candidates....I wish there could be someone that really cared!! That's all!!! Thanks for talking to me about it!!
