pretty venues that allow you to bring in food...

Hi ladies! I'm exploring options for an engagement party. I've gotten some great ideas from the boards as to italian restaurants with seperate rooms.

My other consideration is pretty rooms, that allow you to bring in catering. I'm looking for suffolk or nassau locations. We have a hook up with an italian caterer, so I'm trying to explore both options. Any ideas? THANKS IN ADVANCE LADIES!!!

I had my shower at The Setauket Neighborhood House and it was really pretty. We had the entire house to ourselves so it gave it like a homey feeling as well. My mom put pics of me all over the place so you really felt like you were in someone's house but where the actual shower was, was in a large room. Check it out.

BUMPing again........Most places have their own caterer. I don't know if we could be able to do it this way......if only we had a firehouse connection...

try knights of columbus, i heard theres a nice one on northern blvd close to the bayside area and also a nice one in LI

There's a nice on in centereach on long island but I just called and you can't bring in your own caterer.

We just had my Dad's 60th bday at the American Legion in Malverne. It's pretty with wood floors and exposed wooden beams. We rented linens and it looked GREAT! Let me know if you're interested and I'll FM you the information for our linen rental company. They are amazing and very reasonable.

We used Baily's Arboretum. It was beautiful and we brought in an outside caterer.

i was also going to say Bailey...i might want use it myself. Where are you located? there are many more venues in Brooklyn/Manhattan that allow outside caterers.
