I don't know how full of a slip to get for my gown, I was just going to get it at my bridal shop because they keep telling me not to worry they will order it for me but they told me it will cost between $70 -$125 and I see so many online for under $50.
Should i go with a hoop or an a-line? right now the dress totally hangs flat on me with no slip.

try your dress on with both at the bridal shop, if possible, then decide. I got the puffiest one i could get I wanted to look like i should be sitting on top of a cake!

I got my a-line slip at David's for $50.00.

With that dress I would NOT wear an A-line slip. You need something with 'poof' to give it the ball gown look.

I agree..you might want some poof! Definitely try different slips on with your dress at the bridal shop..then order somewhere else if you need to..you have time so I would say that's the way to go!

I got a full slip for my ballgown...I need it altered so I had to buy it from the shop or they refused to alter it

Oh man, are you kidding me? that REALLY stinks because I got my dress at Lillette's too!
?<$&! that! I'm going to Phyllis for my alterations! Lillette's seriously overcharges for slips and veils and such....

Go with poof.....to show off the ball gown portion of the dress.
I'm selling mine if you're interested. It's a size 12 and I purchased it from Phyllis at Bridal Elegance. SOLD!!!
