I was told by a florist that there really isn't a difference in the price btw high and low CPs because you have to still fill the low CPs and make them full...is this true? Can anyone tell me what they were quoted for high vs. low CPs?? Thanks!

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
From my experience pricing flowers (3 different places) there certainly was a difference between high and low. At all three I was quoted about 60-65 per table vs. 95+ for high. I would be skeptical of whatever florist told you that. Did you try Flower Michele? As you probably read they (John, esp.) are fabulous.

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
I started off with a low one and switched to a high one and saw no price difference. I think if you change the flowers your are using then it would likey change the cost. I hope that helps

i dont think there was much a diff. but its true sometimes what makes the price go up is the flower u want. Burtons doesnt do that its same price for any flower...that was another reason why we are using them! our are about $90 for a high

keep looking, it doesn't hurt to shop around...even if youLOVE this florist, if you can get other quotes, you may be able to negotiate their price.

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
Every place I went to quoted me a different price for high CP's and low CP's. The place I eventually booked was 75 for low and 95 for high.

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
It is not always the flowers that make high CPs more expensive. High CPs are labor intensive and thus cost more. Also consider the height of the celings in your room. Ours were VERY high and low CPs would not have filled the room.

they usually have a rental charge for the high centerpieces for the stands. that is another reason they are higher in $$$$

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
I agree w/the majority of what was posted here, but in the end, I have to say it depends on the florist.
Our florist charged us a great price for High CP's (less than $75 each) - and having had low ones would've been the same.

You guys got awesome centerpiece prices. I am paying $185 per high centerpiece at Pedestals. I feel like I am being ripped off.

Re: Price different - High vs. Low CPs
WOW!!! That is a lot! The highest quote I got for high cp's was $175. what kind of flowers are you having? If you have a lot of callas or different flowers, it will really escalate the price. I haven't booked anyone yet but I've been getting $65-75 for low and $100 and up for high. I've been looking to do all roses with berries and hydrangeas.
But to answer the posters initial question as far as fullness, every florist I have been to has said you have to make the high ones fuller so they can stand out.
