hey girls...the dress i decided on for my flowergirls (im having 2) is about $180, which i think is ridiculous for such a little amount of material, but thats besides the point....so, i feel bad imposing that much $ on them...1 is a bridesmaids daughter & the other is a cousin of my fh...do u think i should find out the amt theyre comfortable paying & then pay the difference? or just let them pay whatever it is? not sure what the right thing to do is....help!

Re: price for flowergirl dress
If you can swing it, I would offer to pay for the FG dresses or at the least split it with them.

Re: price for flowergirl dress
My FG dresses were 139. I didn't hep with the dress bill, but I purchased their gloves, tiaras and shoes to take the load off of their parents

Why don't you just choose a cheaper fg dress?

this is what i was gonna say, too... thats really high for a dress for little girl... and there are sooo many cute styles out there, i'm sure you could find another one you like for cheaper.....

Re: price for flowergirl dress
i tried to find one cheaper, but couldnt find any that i liked, except for davids but my dress place doesnt deal with them & no offense but i cant stand davids anyway, so im not giving them any business....theres alot of tacky crap out there & id rather have a more expensive dress that looks decent then have a crappy looking one thats cheap...you get what you pay for....

Re: price for flowergirl dress
If you really want that dress why don't you offer to pay half of the cost that way you won't make the parents uncomfortable about having to say what they were willing to pay
good luck

Re: price for flowergirl dress
i agree... thats fine that you really want that dress, and that theres a certain look you want for the flower girl... BUT, i don't think its fair for you to make her parents pay that much money for something YOU want--- i think its only right for you to either offer to pay for part of the dress, or to compromise and find another dress with a price they would be more comfortable with...

Re: price for flowergirl dress
mine was 140- I thought it was a lot for a small dress too but it matches perfect with my girl's dresses. The BM's dresses were less than the FG dress from the same company www.jordanfashions.com- under Sweet Beginnings for FG dresses.- They have so many styles to choose from. Maybe get one a little cheaper or pay for it yourself- I paid for my FG's dress as a gift.
