was wondering what people were quoted (and where they recommend me to go to get pricing) on a honeymoon at Sandals Grand Resort in St. Lucia.
We are intersted in going for 8 nights in late may/early june 2005. The price i got i thought was very high(but was for the oceanfront suite - i think we will have to downsize to just an ocean front room).
I think I went to travelocity.com or maybe it was the Sandals web site and got a price. I put down 10 days in Sept. in the honeymoon suite and it was $6300... I did this a long time ago so I am doing this from memory...

They have the lowest rates and I looked everywhere. The good thing about them is if you are uncomfortable booking online they have an travel agency somewhere in NYC.

I just booked my honeymoon at the Grande the other day! I found a great price online and then the travel agent I really liked matched it! I am so excited. It is a lot of money to see all at once but remember - that is for everything (food, drinks, etc.).
We are paying $5100 for 8 nights in a Luxury Oceanfront room.

just to make sure rate info is correct, make sure you check website. and ask travel agent what you are getting on top of there lower price (if's it's lower)

Keep in mind that 2005 prices may be higher...you can probably lock in your resort rate, but not the airfare.
We are staying at the Grande from June 1 through June 10, Penthouse Honeymoon Oceanview Luxury Concierge Suite. We are paying $6400, which includes airfare and we also got a spa credit through our travel agent. The airfare alone was $1200!!! Air Jamaica from Kennedy.
It's around the same time you are looking, which is peak season.

we just booked ours... we did 8 days swin up lagoon room $5500 w/ airfare in nov./dec.!! i went to liberty travel and they were great!
