Re: price of basic postage
$.41 just be careful of weight and size of the envelope ...
we were given this at work - about all of the new postage details ...
On Monday, May 14th, new US postal rates go into effective.
The most notable change is the First-Class Mail ( 1 oz) postage which will increase form 39 cents to 41 cents for the standard size (#10) letter envelope.
In addition to weight, the rate structure will put a greater emphasis on size and shape.
A reduction in the cost of an 'additional ounce' for First-Class Mail
Flat-rate pricing for Priority Mail envelopes and boxes.
The cost of mailing a catalog or brochure in a 'flat' envelope (8.5' x 12') has increased significantly from 52 cents to 80 cents for the first ounce.
