FH and I went and looked at invitations we loveeeeeeed today, but I am scared we're being ridiculous about how much we want to spend. I'm just trying to see maybe what an average invitation cost would be, so that if we're really over that we can go back to the drawing board!

i'm actually not sure yet even though i plan on ordering soon. they will be under $500 if I don't do the matching direction cards, and not including the cost of computer/hand calligraphy

im not going crazy with the price of them only because i know nobody is going to keep them, i found a lot of really nice ones for less than 500, how much are u guys looking to spend?

The answers are going to depend alot on how many invitations everyone needs to get, so keep that in mind. If you only need to get 100 invites it's going to be alot less than someone who needs to get 200. That said, I spent a little more than I wanted to, BUT, I love my invitations more than I ever thought I could love an invitation, so in the end that's what mattered most to me.

It all depends on what you are getting. Custom invitations start at about $8/ invite and go up from there.

Prices range on EVERYTHING .... there are $99 David's Bridal dresses and there are $10,000 designer dresses from Vera Wang, etc.

You aren't nuts..trust me we are pretty much spending that much too. Invitations can be really expensive. I actually found ones that I really love and they are really too so that I dont think I can justify but we are spending about that too

You're not nuts at all. If you love them, get them. I got 150 invites and spent around $1000, plus around $200 for calligraphy. Like I said before though, what matters is that you love it. I would not have been happy sending out anything different than I did, so in other words I don't regret the money I spent at all.

You're definately not nuts at all... there would have to still be a few more levels on that poll to get to what I spent on my invites! They are custom, that's why... but I fell in love and wouldn't have it any other way!
If you know you love them and they are in your budget then go for it!

I'm not sure of my rpice yet but I know I will not spend more than $500. Originally I didn't car ehw much but SO many people have told me this is not the area to over spend b/c people open it, mark the date & throw it away!!! And that is true!! JMO
