Does anyone have a general idea of the cost of a wedding at the Atlantica? Is there a site rental or is it a price per head?

No site rental, just price per head.
It depends on time of year.
Also, they don't do weddings on Saturdays in the summer - just Fridays or Sundays.
I got quotes for August and May 2008, and depending on the month and night they ranged from the mid 130s/pp to the mid 160s/pp for the most basic menu (which gives you nothing at cocktail hour except passed hors d'ouvres and a fruit/veggie crudite station).

i've got fall quotes.. which once you bump it up to actually feed your guests, comes to about $246 pp

ahhh. for a minute I was about to cancel jericho terrace & go for the $130 pp on the beach. figures once everything else is included it's almost 250 pp. otherwise everyone would be getting married there.

yeah
we had the day on hold for months and decided as we were about to sign the contract not to do it.
lol i am SO upset. but it's for the best
if they had a separate cocktail hour room it would be worth it to me.. but the fact that the ceremony and the cocktail hour are in the same exact spot right after eachother is just crazy to me.. even though i heard they switch the room pretty quickly..

I got married there last month.
There is a HUGE difference in price between day & evening weddings. HUGE. Like an $80 pp difference. FM me if you want info.

Try and pick a day before a holiday. I just got married there on Tuesday, July 3rd at night and it was about $100 cheaper p/p than having a Saturday night wedding. It is well worth looking into as everything about Atlantica is amazing (food, service, atmosphere, etc.)

After reading your review I made an appt to meet with people at the Atlantica tomorrow. It was SO beatiful!! :) BUT I just saw the posts about the price :( Could you give me an idea of what you think we can do to lower the price without ruining the experience?

Get married on a weekday before a holiday. We got married on Monday July 3rd and the difference in price from a Saturday to the Monday was almost half, so we upgraded to a better menu. We had over 200 guests so we were able to get extras thrown in as well.
Also, most people had a 4 day weekend so all of our guest were able to make it.
