Today was my first day of looking at reception halls... we want to get married July 10, 2004 (or around there... has to be early July though, as we have other family weddings in August!)
Anyway, we looked at the Watermill, Windows on the Lake, and Villa Lombardi's. I really liked them, but the price was a little more than I expected. We are flexible on the time, so afternoon is OK... but I was wondering, does anyone know of a place (preferably Suffolk) that will be less than $90 a person? Is there anywhere that I can figure out prices without having to spend hours listening to a sales pitch?
Thank you so much!!
Danielle

Re: Prices?
Oh My GOSH--- Check out sunset Harbour... Andy Is THE sweetest person to work with.. And so is the young lady that works there... We have our wedding there on Friday.. This will be the third family function held at Sunset harbour... They have THE BEST food and awesome prices... Definately worth the call...
PS... their site on here does them no justice, you really need to see it in person to appreciate it!!
Not on this list is the Meadow Club which is lovely and not too expensive. They are in Port Jefferson.

Re: Prices?
I second Meadow Club since we had our reception there as well. They were great, and under $90/person with tax & gratuity.

Re: Prices?
Meadow Club......I knwo it has been said before, but I am getting married there June 26, and I am paying WELL under 90pp before tax and service charge! Also John Anthonys gave us a price of 70 for a friday night, not sure about afternoon prices though. Riveria in Massapequa gave us a price of around 80 for a saturday night. (both of these discount prices for 'late bookings' between 8-10 months away)

Depending on the day, I think the swan club is in that price range.

Re: Prices?
You might be able to get the Miller Place Inn for that price on an afternoon or Friday night. It is a really nice place, great food and they only have one wedding at a time.

I got married at Villa Lombardi's and LOVED it. We got a good deal when we booked. It was worth every penny
I also agree with some girls on here about the Meadow Club, nice place, great food, for a GREAT price.

Re: Prices?
A friend of mine had her wedding at the Bellport Country Club and it was a really great wedding. the food was great and the place is beautiful and I think that it was definitely less than $90 pp and they got married on a Friday night.

Re: Prices?
Smithtown Landing Country Club is very reasonable - even for a Saturday night (about $80 per person but they will negotiate - that was for a June date). I'm sure a Friday night or Sat. or Sunday afternoon would be even less. And they just renovated the ballroom. It's a Lessing's facility. You can also try the other Lessings facilities - Timberpoint and West Sayville CC.
I don't know how large your guest list is, but if it's relatively small there is a new place called Crestwood in the Northport/Fort Salonga area. They gave me a price of $85 for Saturday night but it was a little small for my reception.

Re: Prices?
I didn't get married there, but visited Port Jefferson Country Club, and it was less than that I think. It's a really pretty place.
Also, what about Sunken Meadow?

Re: Prices?
I am getting married at the Watermill on June 6, 2004. I originally did not want a day wedding, but we found the price to be significantly cheaper to have our wedding at 11:30 on a sunday. We are paying $71 per person plus tax and gratuity. I fell in the love with the Watermill and decided to have the sunday day wedding so that we could afford it.

Re: Prices?
We are getting married at Majestic Gardens on a friday in May of 2004. We are paying $75 per person plus tax & gratuity. They have 2 different priced menus to choose from. They also just added on some more beautiful gardens and fountains. You should check them out.
