Prices for December brides in 2005?

I would love to know what people are paying in December wedding Saturday night 2005.

Im trying to decide if the price I got is good or not...

I dont know what to do Im stressed and have a headache!

(the place im debating is Jericho Terrace)

Well, Im not a december bride. And Im not getting married at Jericho Terrace so I guess Im not much of a help.

I know my sister got married at Jericho Terrace 3 years ago, August 5th on a Saturday I think? I think her price p/ head was somewhere around $100.00


ETA: your price p/ head also depends on how many people you are guaranteeing!

FYI... according to some of my bridal bargains books December is not a cheap month to get married so don't be surprized if Janurary or November are cheaper.

1. You are competing for caterers and hall space with many coorporate office/company parties. If it is a year where Christmas, Hannukah or Neew Years Eve fall on a weekend night you have one or two less weekend nights to work with.

2. People's family/business/religious obligations fill in the calendar pretty quickly.

3. One of the books even ventured to say that people don't give as much of a gift because they are also spending a lot that month on holiday gifts.

I'm not trying to disuade you but a friend of mine tried for a Dec wedding and these were her concerns. She wound up getting married the Friday after Thanksgiving and had an early Christmas theme.

Thats actually what I thought... but, the hall is the one that pushed me into December because November was more expensive believe it or not...

I dont know, all i know is that this is just a miserable experience!
