Prices of houses going down by this summer

Anyone know if this is true? My friend and I were talking last night, and he said something to the fact that he heard the prices of houses were going to go down by this summer....Im not sure if they are going to go down to what they used to be though. He said he has already noticed the price of apartments going down, but I haven't noticed that.

I haven't noticed that they're going down too much - more like leveling off a bit.

The insanely overpriced ones I've noticed are now being reduced which is a good sign, and some are staying on the market longer, but I wouldn't expect to see a real noticeable change until after the interest rate goes back up.

there are always talk about bubbles bursting...but really no one can predict it...


also keep in mind more people buy and sell inthe summer...b/c weather is nicer...people are more likely to look...



interest rates have hit close to and all time lows...so that will only have investors wanting to by more...


IMO...I wouldn't wait to start looking...and if you come across something you can afford to grab it...

There is no way to know this! I mean I have been hearing for about 8 months how they are on their way down, but we have actually noticed the opposite. Some people are asking an unrealistically high amount for their homes. Honestly I think if the house prices do go down it will only be in relation to interest rates going up. I personally dont see the market going down much if any at all! Maybe it will level off but I wouldnt hold my breath for the dropping of prices to happen!!
