priests??? what? a blessing?
Is it tru that a Roman Catholic Priest will not go "on-site" and marry you at the reception hall, even if both the bride and groom are catholic? My point being...I would LOVE to get married on the grounds of my reception, however , It is important to me to have my marriage blessed and accepted in the Roman Catholic Church...Any advice would be greatly appreciated. priests??? what? a blessing?
Here's my experience - I really wanted an outdoor wedding but my priest said absolutely not (I thought that "god's open air" thing applied but apparently it doesn't). He was willing to do it at another site (upon his apporval of course) but it had to be INDOORS. A gazebo didn't count either. He told me that this was the rule all catholic priests had to follow.
