Prime Rib or NY Strip Steak??

Prime Rib or NY Strip Steak??

We went and picked our menu the other day and my mother is still insiting we have the prime rib, instead of the NY Strip Steak.
First off, FH loves his strip steak and that is all he will eat. Second, I think it is different because you usually don't see a NY Strip Steak at a wedding. Which would you prefer?


As of now the menu choices are, NY Strip Steak, Chicken Francaise, Stuffed Sole.

I am not a big steak eatter, so I have no idea which is better.

but even if you do prime rib, can you request they make a NY strip for your FH?

I too want our beef choice to NOT be prime rib - it's so 'typical catering' food.

I had prime rib at a party last week that tasted like pot roast. It was creepy. I voted for the strip steak because it is a nice change.

I would prefer the strip steak... prime rib always reminds me of something off the Flinstones....and I have never eaten one that has been that good..
