Princess Bridal in Farmingdale

Anyone hear anything about it, or been there? I haven't yet but i have heard some bad things about it... I think I might go just to try stuff on (they have a big selection) but if I find anything I am a little leary about ordering from there based on what I've heard...

Thanks in advance!

i did not like it there personally
the dressing room was so small and the woman like made me stand there in my bra and panties while she hung up the dresses I had tried on and there was no door it was a curtain and it was so uncomfortable there are 2 rooms under $1000 and over and the under $1000 room is cramped dresses on a few racks you cant even look thru them they are stuffed in

Wonderful. I hate being in full view. My mom stopped there on her lunch hour to see what they had and she said they had a lot with sleeves, which i want. I might go look. Wish me luck! I don't think I would order from there though!!!

Thats probably one of the most undesirable things of dress shopping--let me hang out in bra and underwear in front of a stranger......its so awkward.....

I've had issues with them when they used to be in Hicksville years back. Me personally, I'd NEVER give them the time of day. However, a good friend of mine bought her gown there & has had not one problem. Her wedding is next month & her final fitting is actually tomorrow.

Well my girlfriend got her dress from there she said the sale woman there were very rude they messed up her order the bridesmaid dresses some of the dresses came back too smal and she tried to charge her for alterations after the fact. I would not reccomend them at all.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. From start to finish they were simply incredible!

I went mid-week during the day to look at gowns and I had 3 salespeople helping me. They were very patient and nice and very honest.

I bought my gown there and everything was perfect. My dress fit like a glove and the alterations (although minimal) were done very well.

I have no complaints at all.

They have a pretty nice selection, so it never hurts just to go and try some on. If you find that you are not comfortable there, you can always get your gown somewhere else. But, I have no complaints at all.

I happened to find my wedding dress there, but I bought it elsewhere. They had lovely gowns to try on, but they (at the time at least) were one of those ' we won't tell you the designer' type places. I got lucky and described the gown I liked to someone elsewhere and she had it!!!!

I just found them to be 'shady'. JMHO

I went there to try on dresses. They weren't terrible though I didn't really care for the salesperson who was helping me. I found that they were rushing me, and that she had a bit of an attitude (it was on a Saturday and a little crowded though). I also personally didn't really like any of the dresses that I tried on.

I got my dress from them. In the end, everything was fine. Pietra, who did the alterations, is a wonderful seamstress. However, I bought my dress there because I didn't feel like looking around anymore (my mistake). Their prices are okay but not a good deal. They do not have the designer names or the price tags on any of their dresses. They ordered my dress in the wrong color and then had to rush order the correct one (at their cost). They can be unpleasant at times. I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted and look through the racks myself. Definitely worth it to look and try on dresses because they do have a lot, but if you decide to buy from them you have to make sure your order is detailed and you have to keep on top of them as far as checking to see when your dress is in and confirming appointments.

Thanks for all your opinions! I think I am going to go looking there but I definetly wouldn't buy from there...

They cut out the tags? That's annoying!

that place is a nightmare. got my bm dress for my friends wedding there and they are soooooooooooooo unorganized and rude. they messed up my dress and another's girls dresses--we were all wearing different tops and they had our names on the wrong dresses thank GOD the two they mixed (mine and someone else's) just happened to be the same size.

if you are looking for dresses with sleeves-try a place like MACY's that carried DEMETRIOS-that's what my dress is and it has sheer sleeves-

I had the same experience with standing there practically naked. She didn't even close the curtain so people walked by and saw me. I closed it myself and she got annoyed. Then, the same lady (who also turned out to be the owner) yelled at my aunt because she was looking at dresses trying to help me pick one out. She also asked me about a veil and I told her that someone was making one for me and her response was 'Well why did you bother coming here then?'. I wanted to be like Trust me lady, I'm asking myself that same question right now.

I couldn't believe how poor their customer service was. And the dresses are really cramped. I almost felt dirty being in that place.

They cut out the tags, they don't tell you the designer, or my favorite, they lied to me about the designer of one dress I tried on. I've gotten BM gowns there for two different weddings and both times I felt we got poor customer service. Just my THREE experiences there....

WOW, I'm surprised by all of your bad experiences there. I had the completely opposite experience. I would never believe they treated people that way.

They told me the designer of my gown prior to me purchasing it. I don't remember if the tag was in there or not (I know alot of places remove the tags).

Again, I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I had no problems whatsoever.

I guess every place has their ups and downs. They do have a nice selection there and the sales ladies that helped me (2 tall thin blonde women - I don't remember their names) were so helpful!

Re: Princess Bridal in Farmingdale

Well I went... it kinda annoyed me cuz they wouldn't really let me look through the gowns, she asked me what I wanted and then pulled things... There was a huge rack and I think it would have been better if I had looked myself.

They did cut the tags out, and with one dress I asked who the designer was and she told me 'I don't know'... Luckily the one I liked had the tag stitched into it and I caught the name as she was pulling it off my head :)

She wasn't mean... but she didn't seem to like her job either. I think I will move on and try some place new Thanks for all your info!
