princess bridals

ewww, so rude. we dealt with the nastiest woman. my fmil and i went to look for dresses and once i told the woman i already had my gown from burtons, she assumed that we were looking at princes but would order from burtons, yes, she said it. and every dress that my fmil picked out was discontinued

can anyone recommend a bridal shop for plus size MOG dresses?

Thank stinks, I'm so sorry you and your FMIL had to deal with that nastiness!

I'm not sure about plus sizes but I've been told about Talass and My Daughter's Wedding II (both in Great Neck). It can't hurt to inquire with them.

Thank God you didn't get something from there. They are really rude and sold my sister's bridal gown on her after it was paid and done and ready for pick up.

Try the Wedding Center in Commack. I was just there over the weekend and I thought they were friendly to me.

Good Luck!!

Dont ever tell them that you are getting your dress from another store...just say you are wearing your mothers if you are asked...but don;t volunteer that info. This is the advice my cousin ( who used to be in bridal) gave me as we looked for Bm dresses

I always say that I ordered my gown out of state.. that usually works.

I had the same experience there! All the women are so rude and nasty! I warn everyone to stay away from that place.

Renates in Lindenhurst is great!!

its funny you mention that place, we went there today but it was closed. my fmil's sister got her mog dress there. do they have plus sizes on the shelves? my fmil wants to see it on and its hard when the sample sizes are 10 and 14...she's a 24.

and thanks

They are the WORST!!!!!!!! My sister got her dress and our bm dresses there and they were sooo mean! She got her hair and make=up trial and wanted to go in and try on HER dress and they said no! We had to freak out on them before they finally agreed to let us come in and when we got there, they totally ignored us and gave us dirty looks. Plus, her dress was dirty when she went to pick it up and three of the bm's dresses were too big after alterations!
