My friend went on this cruise ship and notified me that there were a lot of older people and not much partying was involved b/c people would either go to sleep to early or be and the cigar lounge. Not much was going on the ship, but the embarkation was great. I went on the Norweign Cruise Line a week after she did her cruise. There was alot of young people in clicks, which made it fun b/c FH and I made friends w/a lot of people. It was mostly 20's - 30's year old. We went on the DAWN and the Events Manager was the best. I was also told that Carnival is the cruise line for 20-30 year olds who like to party.

I haven't been on Princess, but I've been a few times on Celebrity and I really like them (aside from the sea sickness, lol). There were a lot of young people and a great night life on the boat!

i've only been on Carnival and NCL. one thing i've heard about Princess is that it has an 'older' feel. i don't know if that's true

Re: princess cruise lines
If you do go with Princess Cruise Lines try to find a curise that has Movies under the Stars. Basically they have a huge movie screen by the pool and you can watch movies all day long. (They do something to the screen so there is no glare). My friends rave about Princess Cuise lines.
I had a choice between a Royal Caribbean Cruise and a Princess Cruise. I chose Royal Caribbean cruise cause it cost less but when the Princess Ship docked next to my ship I was envious of their Movies under the Stars...

I went on a Princess Cruise and it was awesome!!! We had the best time ever. Carribbean Princess is one of their largest ships and one of the best. They have SO much to do all the time. We were never bored. Carribbean Princess has the Movies Under the Stars....its a good time. DO IT!

Re: princess cruise lines
In the summer of 2002, my best friend and I took a cruise from NY to Bermuda on the Pacific Princess (the original Love Boat!). It was a much older ship, and we got the cruise super cheap. We had a lot of fun! I think the crowd was older, but we were really only looking to relax and hang out in the sun.

We went on the Caribean princess in July 2007 as part of our 3 week honeymoon!!!!
IT WAS AMAZING.......SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!
I can't recomend them and that ship enough!!!!
If you go you HAVE to see Bert Stratton at the piano bar at night!!!
ETA: There was defenitely partying at night if you are looking for it!! Skywalkers bar is on the top deck and is a night club that rocks all the way in to the early am!

I was also told that Carnival is the cruise line for 20-30 year olds who like to party.
i went on the crown princess and it was the opposite so maybe thats a better option if the caribbean princess is an older crowd. There were so many young ppl. There are 4 pools and one of the main pools that has a band playing music during the day was a bit too much like spring break. They would do all those contests that you see alot of during spring break, girls dancing at the pool and all that. It was very loud whenever we were by that pool area...Same with the clubs it was just packed with young people, too many teenagers for my taste but also alot in their 20's. The casinos which we hung out at the most was alot of young people also. We hung out with alot of couples in their 20's. It also probably depends which princess ship you go on bc they have alot of them. The crown princess definitely had alot going on. There was a big club on the top deck, a couple of bars, the casino which was always packed. The main pool was always a party. Also on the crown princess and i think its the only princess ship that has this, they have an outside movie theater, its called movies under the stars and lounge chairs all around the deck to watch it and when we did it once it was filled with younger people. The crown princess we went on july of 2006 and it was only its 3rd voyage out so pretty new.
The food was excellent, i was surprised how much i liked it. They have alot of activities during the day such as mixology classes, dance classes, wine tasting and so on. They also have an inside theater where they have shows everynight but fh and i didnt go to any of them we were busy at the casino. They have miniature golf and virtual reality golf, i think even 9 hole golf on the 15th deck. The good thing is they have a floor just for kids with arcades, some surfing reality thing on waves, plus their pool is on another floor so no kids were at the two big pools where adults were. Theres 4 dining halls and a couple of restaurants. The service was great on there, the employees were extremely nice.
The excursions for the crown princess are pretty good to the caribbean. Its puerto rico, turks and caicos, bermuda and St. Thomas
if you have any questions feel free to fm me.
I do have to say i was surprised at how many young people were on the ship. Most adults actually went to the 2nd pool bc of how much partying there was at the main pool, although some joined in, they have a calypso band that plays during the day and like i said do contests and everyone dancing by the pool. Even when we stopped at turks and caicos and went to margaritaville which is a big outside bar with tables and huge pool it was everyone from our cruise and again they turned it into a big party.
Depends on which ship you go on
HERE IS a picture i took while watching a movie at their movie under the stars
AND 2nd pic is fh watching the movie, we picked a section that had 2 lounge chairs and a wall on one side so nobody around us plus you have small tables which is perfect...great way to watch a movie hahaha
