FI and I are going to buy a computer this weekend since it is whipping my a** to have to do all my stuff on my work computer and having to make believe I am working! I know what computer we are going to get, but I need some advice on printers. Anyone have a great printer that they just love and is easy maintenance??

we recently bought a printer/scanner/copier. its a lexmark 750 i think. it cost about $150. it works good so far. but you can get just a printer for pretty cheap anywhere.

We got an Epson C60 about 6 months ago. It's been pretty good (though we had to send the original one back cause it had many problems but they were great about getting a new one to us) and prints nice pictures as well as text, and was only about $70 with a rebate. I think I've heard good things about the C80 as well though it's a bit more money. I like that it was easy to hook up and that there is a preview feature (this may come with all new ones, but the one we had before was OLD!

I have an HP printer 612C I think

I LOVE the HP printers! I have the 932c and also the 1115 Photo printer. I used it so much but do not feel that I am always replacing the ink cartriages!

I like my parent's printer best. They have a Canon S600 (I think that's the model). FH and I like it best of all the printers anyone in our family has owned. It is fast, quiet, and easy on the ink. Also, ink is relatively cheap and there are 3 seperate tanks for the color (you only have to replace the one that runs out). I do't recall it jamming.

I have an Epson 777 and am not very fond of it. The ink is expensive (even when you buy generic it is more costly than other printer brands) and the darn thing goes through a cleaning process each time it wants to print, so it eats up ink. It's somewhat noisy too.

We have had some success with HPs, but nothing to really rave about.
