Printer time

Printer time

OK its time to buy a printer.

I have a Dell Dimension, bought last February

I would like a printer to
- print color, and hopefully print a decent photo quality picture
- print quickly
- be very easy to install and use
- not cost a fortune.

I know there are $100 printers available. Are they worth it? I guess I would like to keep it around $300

Please post suggestions.

I happen to think Hewlett-Packard printers are the best. I work in the computer world and those are the only printers I buy.

I second that Jodi!! I LOVE my HP printers. We have 2 currently, and ink jet and a photo printer and LOVE them!! All of the printers I have owned (about 3 others) have been HP's

I have the 932C model ink jet and the 1115(I think that is the model) photo printer.

You can check on computershopper.com for the best price on line. Also, Costco has great deals on their printers

We just bought a $100 printer (Canon) and I would say neither of the $100 printers will do a good job with photos, but you should be able to find something if the budget is under $300.

Def agree that HP is the way to go--I also have the 932C and have only bought HP printers--also check out CNET and MySimon for info and prices

I love my HP printer too!!!
What I really like about it is that the paper loads from the bottom so the paper always goes in straight and the printer does not pull in multiple sheets. I have also had printers that the paper loaded from the top (kind of standing up) and I always had these problems.

We have HP all in one machine that we like. I never really tried to print photos from it. I read that canon makes the best photo printer which would make sense since they make good cameras.
