I was trying to do a mail merge in Word. I imported my list and that was fine. But when I go to preview my envelopes the addresses show up in the return address area and not the delivery address like i put. Can someone help me out? Thanks

Re: Printing addresses directly onto envelope
it may look strange on your monitor, but you have to try a few to be sure it's correct.
It depends on your font size too

Its showing up in the right corner when I print it out... Is it normal to have to go one by one and center it and put it down to where it should belong?

yes, we cut some printer paper to the size of our envelopes to test them.
Because the envelopes are not a standard size, and depending on your printer, it can take a few tries to line it up just right
if it is in the corner bring it over 5 and down 7

I couldn;t export from excel because it reset the paramaeters everytime. My MOH and I did it. I read her the address and she typed it up. It took us about 30 minutes to do 90 invites or so...

Re: Printing addresses directly onto envelope
Mine took me a while because I just retyped every address. I didn't set up my excel page the right way, and I didn't have the patience to do that. So i just retyped them all in. I just set the paper size to the envelope size and inserted a text box. The set up was so simple and it printed perfect on the first try (the back return address took two trys)
However, my invites, and especially the envelopes have turned out to be one of my FAVORITE things from the wedding thus far.

Re: Printing addresses directly onto envelope
Do you have the correct envelope size in the letters and mailings wizard? You should be able to adjust the first one (that has the general pieces of the address, like etc.) and that should automatically change the actual merged envelopes....HTH!

Re: Printing addresses directly onto envelope
Thanks everyone... I came into work 2 hours early before everyone and printed half of the envelopes. I figured it out last night. Thanks for all of your advice!!! I was only able to finish half though! Man does it take forever! Guess I'm waking up 2 hours earlier tomorrow too!
