Printing Envelopes

Printing Envelopes

Those of you who printed your own addresses on the invitations - how did you center the addresses? I'm using Microsoft Word and I can't seem to figure out how to do it! By center I mean make it so the address is not aligned left.

Re: Printing Envelopes

I created a new document and measured my envelopes and made the new document exactly the size of the measured envelopes. Then I changed my margins so there would be an even amount of space on either side, then I centered the text.

I actually spaced it just a touch down and to the right, too, because aesthetically I liked the way it looked better, but I've received exactly centered invites and they looked great too.

Just remember, if you print across the envelope so it's tall, you'll be charged for parcels instead of envelopes by the post office. If you print the way a 'normal' envelope looks, you may avoid additional charges, which can save you a lot of money.

Smart!! Thanks! I kept trying to print them as envelopes and Word won't let you change the address alignment - printing them as a normal document is a great idea!!!
