Printing Envelopes

Did anyone print their own envelopes for something? I am trying to do it for my save the dates. I thought I had it all together..selected the A6 envelope option on word and I typed in my 125 address just to find out that it does not print properly. Does anyone know what to do? I am stuck!

Sometimes when your printer doesn't pick up the paper properly, the printing is a little off. My FH's printer did that. We selected the proper format and everything for our labels, but we later found out it was the printer itself.

Try doing a realign print test to see if thats the problem. If not, save everything on a usb stick, and take it to staples to print. I think my FH said they charged him 4 or 5 bucks to print all 115 labels.

I have a specific font I would like to use. Are they able to use whatever font I want?

Yea, just as long as you save it. We used a script font on Word, and they were able to print it for our save the date labels.

There are a lot of different options you have to select correctly to make sure that envelopes print right. Make sure you select the correct feeder orientation for the printer. On the 'Mailings' tab select 'Envelopes' then the 'Printing Options' tab. On that tab you can adjust the 'Feed Method.' I used a sheet of paper marked with how I was feeding it into the printer as a demo before I started printing my envelopes. You can adjust from there.

You can also create a custom size envelope if you that is what is causing the problem. On the 'Mailings' tab select 'Envelopes' then the 'Envelope Options' tab. Open the pull down menu for 'Envelope Size' and select 'Custom' at the bottom to enter dimensions.

Good luck!

I didn't use the envelope option, it never worked for me. I went to page set up, and made it the size of my envelope, then changed the direction of the print (so it is sideways) then adjusted the tray in my printer to insert each envelope lengthwise one by one. Its time consuming to print but once you set it up its all just click and print.
