so I designed our invitations and inserts that I will put in pocketfolds from cardsandpockets.com. I was going to order all the paper and everything from them. But now I'm wondering where I'm going to print everything. I have a printer, but am I really going to print 150 invitations plus 4 inserts for each one. I feel like I'm going to blow up my printer or something. I was thinking about doing it at staples but I tried to price it and it looked SSOOOOOO expensive. It was $65 to just print 150 invitations, let alone all the inserts and all. Any ideas??

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
I am just printing myself. I have 140 invites with 4 inserts as well. FYI if you bring staples your used ink cartridges, you get a $3 coupon each cartridge and you can use 3 couplons at a time. I'm saving $$$ with these invites so I figure if I have to buy ink to print everything I'm still making out very well. Figure out what's more beneficial for you. Good luck...let me know what you decide

just do one insert at a time, spread it out over a week so it doesnt overheat

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
I was planning on spacing out the printing of my invitations as well. I will work on one piece or instert per day. Hopefully letting printer recover. I was then going to build them the following week. Giving myself time to recover

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
I printed roughly 150 invitations with 3 inserts and I just did it in stages. Like one night I did all the invitations, then a couple nights later I would do all of one of the insert and then so on each night I felt like doing it until they were done. Your printer will be fine, trust me. Good luck and have fun!!

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
I ordered my invites from cardsandpockets.com also, and was able to size my 4 inserts to all fit on one 8.5x11sheet of paper, so I'll be printing about 150 sheets for the inserts. I print them as I work on them so that its not too much printing in one day.

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
We are printing them ourselves. We are using 81/2 x11 paper if you sixe them correctly, you can actually get two invites on one sheet. Microsoft Publisher is a good place to start.

yea as everyone says you don't print one item at a time you gang them up on a sheet but you have to verify your dimensions first.

Re: Printing invitations and inserts
ok, I ended up fitting the RSVP and direction card on one page, reception card and hotel info on another page, and two invites on one page. So I guess that will ease my printer a little. Thanks for the info ladies. You are so helpful! I'm ordered the paper this weekend and I will post pics of my first one!
