Printing out envelopes

Printing out envelopes

Have any of you printed out your outer envelopes that were thick or lined? We've been trying for 2 nights on 3 different printers with no success. The envelopes keep getting jammed. Please help ASAP...these invites need to go out!!!

Do you have it set for envelope paper or regular paper... If you have it set for envelopes already try setting it for photo paper. FM me if you need help.

i've seen some brides rave about inkspun.com here - apparently it's very affordable and they do a great job - u might want to look into them

This was my problem too-you have to change the settings-it also helps if you open the flap

Don't know what kind of printers you have, but do any of your printers have a 'back door' that can be left open while printing? If so, then the envelope will come straight out the back and not have to bend itself inside the printer... that's what I did.

i've printed on metallic and reg invitation envelopes...with my printer the envelopes didn't go straight through they had to bend. i took the smooth edge of a knife or comb (or something like that) to flatten the edges of the envelopes...all four edges...then they started going through without a prob...the ink on metallic was another story HTH

Spoons work great for this also.. it's how I made nice crisp folds on my pocketfolds
