I was just wondering if there were any Proactive users on here or Ex proactive users on here. I have two questions.
First I would like to know how easy it is to cancel my account with Proactive. I emailed them the other day but I havent heard back yet, and I was wondering if I had to call them.
The second question is....What are some substitutions for Proactive? I am finding that it is too expensive for me to have to pay $50 every 3 months for face stuff....And I also found that proactive's products have stained two of Danielle and I's new Pillow cases...and that annoys the hell out of Danielle and I. Thanks, Scott

Re: Pro Active Substitutions
Question 1: I just recently cancelled an order they were going to send me, and I just tried to log on and it says my account is inactive, but I think you may need to call to make sure your account is closed.
Question 2: Since I quit using Proactiv, I have been using Clean and Clear. It works pretty good, but I think I am going to try Neutrogena, someone on here recommended both of these before.
Good Luck

Re: Pro Active Substitutions
The problem isnt if Proactive works or not for me, it Defanitely does. I want to cancel for the two reasons I stated above. I am sure there are other products on the market for a lot less money than I pay for the Proactive every 3 months.

Re: Pro Active Substitutions
My dermatologist prescribed Retin-A Micro and my skin has never looked better! I have tried everything before this and nothing else worked for me. Good luck!

My doctor prescribed Duac cream which is working well for me. I use Clean and Clear to wash my face. Neutrogena washes didn't work as well for me. Good luck!

Re: Pro Active Substitutions
I use the proactiv lotion when I come home from work so it's fully soaked in when I go to bed. If I don't think it is I wipe my face a bit. I have the pillowcase thing too
Call them to cancel. I did that (and reinstated it a few months later).

Re: Pro Active Substitutions
I cancelled for pretty much the same resons It worked, but not enuh to jsutify the cost. Cancellign was ok, they asked a lot of questions as to why you want to cancell. BUT--I had a problem, where they told me I was caelled, but changed my frequency instead, so in 6 moths & got a nother pacakge. I called & they said send it back, but they werne't goingto refund the shipping untill I got a little nasty.
I found the book The Acne Cure helpful & was using a comination of salicilyic & alpha hodroxy lotions but plain alpha hydroxy lotins are hard to find, so I just started usuign Neurtogena anti wrinkle, anti blemish cleanser which has both & it sems to be working, but is a little drying.
Wrinkles aren't so much a problem for me yet, but the alpha hydroxies that are in for that purpose, exfoliate skin, which helps with acne too. (that is what is in the Proactive toner--glycolic acid)
I also use benzoil peroxide on problem areas. I still have some proactive repairing lotin, so I use that, but any OTC benzoil peroxide spot treatment should work, just look for the same % as the Proactive. (I can't recall the # off hand, it is on the bottle)
