Has anyone used it before? Does it work and roughly how long does it take before you see a change?

Re: Proactiv
I've been using it about a year and a half. It definitely works. I think it took about a week or two to notice differences in my skin. I have to say that it doesn't work as well now as it did for about the first 9 months. But.....my skin is MUCH better than it was before I started using it.....HIGHLY recommend it! Good luck

Re: Proactiv
Well my wedding is a little over 3 months away and my skin is getting progessively worse. My skin doesn't need to be perfect but I'd like it to look a little better so that it doesn't show through my makeup.

Re: Proactiv
I have been using Proactiv for about 3 months or so and I LOVE IT!! My skin looks great and people have even commented on how great my skin looks. Even my FH is going to start using it.
I highly recommend trying it. You really have nothing to loose.

Re: Proactiv
If you have insurance that covers dematology, I suggest you go to one. My sister uses Dr. Serure in Smithtown - Phone # 631-979-0909. She is a miracle worker and cleared my sister's skin very quickly using Klaron and Differin ( both topicals like Proactive) but better!!!! She is the best dermatologist ever and I would highly recommend her.

Re: Proactiv
Yeah, I might just go back to the derm. A few years back I was on Differin and it worked. But then I stopped using it and it came back.
I hate doctors though.

Re: Proactiv
I have to find someone in Manhattan. I work in Manhattan and live in Queens, so Smithtown isn't a possibiility. But I thank for you the reference. I guess I have to kick my butt into gear with only 3 months left. Did I mention I hate doctors.

Re: Proactiv
I used to break out once a month, sometimes more often but after using proactive for 1 month my skin cleared up. I've been using it for about 3 months now and my skin is still clear which is amazing because I used to have terrible break outs. I also know a great dermatologist that works in Manhattan. I haven't been to him in over a year. His name is Dr. Abadi, if you want more info you can FM me.

Re: Proactiv
My FH uses it and it really works for him. I tried it back in college, but it didnt work for me. If you do some research on proactiv through the interenet they will tell you that it doesnt work for a certain type of acne.

Re: Proactiv
I was on accutane, took Differin, Retin A, you name it......nothing worked, until Proactiv!!! I swear it is the best thing ever...I've been using it for about 6 months now and it has cleared my skin up better than any of the prescription medications I've tried. Just make sure you get the moisturizers....I even have the Proactiv under-eye cream.
Definitely try it before going to a dermatologist.....its cheaper and quicker.

Re: Proactiv
It doesn't work on me though. But if I can suggest to you girls, avoid eat spicy foods, junk foods, oily foods especially chinesse foods, no peanuts, no fried foods, drink plenty of waters, and eat more vegetables. It should help you cause it helps me lots.
I went to dermatologist so many times and it didn't work at all. I tried so many lotions, pills, and etc. I am so tired of that then I went to facial.. the owner told me to avoid certain thing of foods. And I am glad it works... I am so happy with my result. My face is getting better
