Proactiv??

Has anybody used this for acne? Does it work?
It's expensive and wanted to get some feedback before I tried it.

I have been using proactiv since July & I feel it works just as well as anything I have ever had from a Dr.(& I have over the years seen several Drs) But it is a bit of a process. The cleanser needs to be scrubbed in for 2 minutes, then toner, & after air drying a repair lotion. You build up from doing this once a day to twice a day. They are also other products that you really should invest above & beyound the basics to further your results. And even though I like the products, my skin has never cleared up as much as I would have liked it to (& I have mild acne) & I occasionally still have breakouts.

i used to use this and didn't find it very effective, but other people have said they love it....it works diffrently on everyone's skin...try it - you can always get your $$ back if it doesn't work...

i find that the only thing that keeps my complexion clear is to take 2 or 3 vitamin A and E pills and one zinc tablet 4-5 times a week....i know this sounds like a lot of pills, but it literally clears my face up in no time....i have not had a real breakout since i started doing this...

I take zinc tablets too for my skin. My doctor recommended it and I think it really helps.

Supposedly, they've done studies that women with acne have lower zinc levels...not sure if that's true...but the tablets do work for me!

I've never used Proactiv, but I can swear by the Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin acne treatment. A few drops in the morning and at night and my skin looks fabulous!! I also use the Oil of Olay Daily Facial Clothes faithfully everynight!!!

Thanks girls, I ordered it, think it takes 2 weeks to arrive so I'll let you know. I think it might be my BCP, I switched about 4 or 5 months ago and it's gotten worse. Or maybe stress? I only have acne around the chin area. I use Differin gel religiously which used to work well for me. I've also been switching around to lots of different cleansers and moisturizers. I'll try the zinc tablets, too.

I havent noticed much of a difference. I do like the refining mask.

My DH has been using PROACTIVE for years and has nothing but wonderful results. He stopped using it to see if it was a coincidence or the stuff. It was Proactive that made his skin so cear. Good Luck!

I used it for a while - I did notice an improvement, but then suddenly I seemed to become immune to it (like everything else I've tried)....but I think it's worth a try
