Proactive...

So i remember a while back someone had posted if it was working for them. Some said it did but then stopped. Well recently that has happened to me. It was working great and even the lady who does my facials was amazed at the progress. But latley it stopped working and i started getting huge breakouts and i am sure some are due to the stress of not working and not knowing what is going to happen but come on.

i called and their skin care expert had me tell her step by step how i was using the product and how much of it i was using. come to find out i am overmedicating and thus causing more breakouts. Due to my skin being extra exta oily if i use to much product it will clog my pores even more and cause breakouts.

Does this sound right to you ladies or was she blowing smoke where the sun dont shine ?

Re: Proactive...

I don't claim to be a dermatologist or anything...but I use Proactive myself, and at a certian point, it did stop working and I found that by using it less often...I've been able to keep any breakouts from happening. The only problem with that is that you don't know how much is too much until it stops working and the breakouts have already started! I think it's worth a shot to take her advice!

Re: Proactive...

I have been using proactive for years now because I find that it is the only thing out there that works. I had stopped using it for about a year because I thought maybe my skin would do good on its own....not the case. I started using it again, but it got worse before it got better and the skin specialist told me the same thing. I cut down to using the product once a day...and my skin is great now. I would def. cut down your 'dosage' because the product really is amazing.
