so im with my aunt the other day and she tells me that my cousin is coming to the wedding and bringing his 3 kids... i turned around and told her kids are not invited.. there are way too many and if i had to invite 1 persons kids i would have to invite all which would be about 30 moe people in age ranges of 2 to 21!!! she must have ran back and told them and they were like well we are just going to send the response back with 5 (my invites are not even out yet thou) .... i mean how can people just add to your wedding if you send out to mr & mrs and not add in and family... i need a way out of this without causing friction in the family... i soo do not know what to do.... any suggestions??

Unfortunately it sounds like this is happening a lot recently... If your invitations are not out or ordered yet, you could word your reception/response cards to indicate that you are having an adult reception. If they're already printed, when you get the inevitable response back, you need to call your cousin and just tell him that kids are not invited. You can specifically word the address on the invite to Mr. and Mrs. Whoever instead of the Whoever Family. Some people just have a lot of nerve!!

And to reinforce the decision, in this particular situation, maybe include a note to these parents explaining AGAIN the no kids policy?

Re: problem
I just find it incredibly rude that people take it upon themselves to invite other people to weddings. - Your aunt okaying her grandchildren at your wedding. - another bride's grandma allowing her grandsons to bring dates, when they were invited solo. - guests inviting themselves.
It can't be that everyone is so ignorant, or can it ? The worst part is that when we say no, we become (I hate to use the term) Bridezillas.

i know i had a friend call me a bridezilla the other day an i almost smacked her lol cuz i am sooo not one...... then the best when i said to my aunt well we really cant afford to invite the kids either because we are on a budget and we went over she was like well they will take care of you with their gift.... helloooo thats not the point everything gets paid b4 not after the gift.. if i add everyone's kids its gonna cost me about another $5000 and there is no wayyyyyyyy that we are doing that
