Problem with a BM...what would you do?

I asked one of my girlfriends that I used to work with to be one of my BM's in January...then I quit my job. Since then we haven't spoken very much and I've only seen her like 3 times. She recently moved out of state, makes no effort to call or stay in touch, and is very cold if I call her to say hi. My other friends are like 'why is this girl in your BP? you have to look at those pics the rest of your life!'

So my question is this...can you politely ask someone to step down and just come as a guest? Keep in mind, she's already bought the dress but left it at my house b/c 'she didnt have the room for it'. Advice please girls.

PS - She recently got engaged. Alot of my friends say she was just jealous at first but she's engaged now too, so what's her problem???

I think I would ask her if, given her new circumstances (her move out of state, her engagement, and now planning her own wedding) if she still has the time to be a part of your BP. This could give her an easy out, which may be what she's looking for. Then you could offer to splt the cost of the dress with her, buy it and give it to someone else, or ship it to her.

I agree.

I agree also. I too went through this recently. My BM was ignoring me basically...never responded to my calls or emails. In my case she did not order the dress though. My last message to her was that I had to order the dresses by a certain date and if she hadn't responded by then, I was to assume she'd dropped out. Well low & behold she did not respond & is no longer in my BP & I couldn't be happier! Just remember...be polite and respectful but make your point so she doesn't leave you hanging. Good luck!
