Problem with makeup person

Okay ladies I ned your help.

A few weeks ago I called a makeup artist to set up a trial. I left a message and we played phone tag for about two weeks. Mind you that when she did return the call it took a few days. Well my last call I didn't hear back from her for almost a week. I had given up on her and then she called.

I finally had the makeup trial and I told her I was going to let her know when I tried my dress on for the fitting later . I also wanted to get my sister's opinion. I called her and left a message with her an hour later telling her I loved it and wanted to book her. I asked her to call me because I had a question about how much she charges for the bridesmaids. Needless to say that was a week ago.
Is this normal? Should I relax about this? I am pretty easygoing but I feel this is not right .

(FYI - the woman was recommened by a girl at work and she is not a vendon on here

It's not Bridezilla. If anyone took a week to call me back, I would call them again!

I would probably be a little concerned about her response time. I know it can take a while especially during the busy part of wedding season - but it's not really that time yet...

If it doesn't feel right I would probably pass on booking her... I'm a little concerned that if she's too busy/disorganized to return a call then it could get ugly around when I actually really need her... a couple of days I can understand, but after a week . I wouldn't want to be chasing after her in the days leading up to the wedding...

i would call her again just in case she didnt get the original message. but if she doesn't call you back in the next few days, definitely give up on her. it's an accountability factor. if you have a hard time getting her on the phone, how difficult will be when it's time to confirm for the wedding...even worse, what if she's late the day of and you can't get her on the phone!

I don't know if she has email. I do know that she doesn't work in a shop or studio. She did my trial at her house. This is something she just does on the side.

I would look for someone else. If you left a message that you want to book her and it's been a full week and she hasn't returned the call, how interested is she in your business - and how interested would she be in your wedding???

I'm all for being understanding with vendors, but this is the second time she has gone a week without responding, and it's not just some random question, you told her you want to book her.
