Problems addressing envelopes in laser printer

I tried to address my envelopes myself in my laser printer, but all the seams came unglued. It happened with both the lined inner and unlined outer envelopes. I guess the printer gets too hot inside?

Is this not an issue in ink jets? My friend offered hers if that works better, but I don't want to keep wasting envelopes trying this out.

I had the same problem too. I thought it would look best on the laser but the rollers got too hot and ruined the enevelopes. I ended up using an inkjet on 'best' print quality and they were perfect.

Thank you so much! I'm so relieved now. FH was really mad when I told him that we needed to pay $3+ per set for hand addressing. He actually said 'You have nice handwriting, just do it yourself.'
