Precana is only offered on Sun's and I work. I went through the Rockville Ctr Diocese for there schedule. They have sessions during the week which is so great b/c Sun's are impossible for me. My church is now tellng me that I can only attend there precana sessions. I am so upset. The church causing me so much stress right now. Any suggestions??
I would try and make an appt to talk to your priest or deacon about the problem. Sometimes it's better if you see them face to face and explain the problem rather than just talk to someone who answers the phone at the rectory. Not sure if this helps, but if you havent already its worth a try.
I have never heard of a church that won't let you go to the Diocese's Pre Cana sessions. Many churches advise that is preferable to go through Pre Cana through the church you are being married at, but sometimes that is not possible, as in your case. that is why the Diocese offers those other options. I would have a chat with your priest or deacon and explain your situation. The Diocese runs your church, so I can't see how they wouldn't accept the Diocese's Pre Cana. Like I said, they may prefer that you go through them, but it shouldn't be required.
