Problems with my programs

So we are down to the home stretch, only 4 more days so we decided maybe our programs should get printed (nothing like waiting till the last minute). Well I had a pretty vellum sheet on top with the paper inside. When we printed the top cover and the inside, it looks awful because you can see the words coming through on the paper!!!!! I love the Vellum though because it has a light glitter sheen to it. Anyone have any suggestions how I can use the vellum but not have it look so bad? I thought maybe a hard cover and then the vellum as the first sheet as a pretty decorative piece and then the inside. Help please!!!

I;m a little confused.. do you meant that the vellum you used was too light?

The vellum looks really nice when there is an image behind it, maybe a pretty paper--something in your color scheme would look nice. Or maybe a picture of the two of you could scan in and then put the vellum in front, then the next page would start the program? Does this help?

I would go w. Stacedz on this. BUT - it's also okay in the last 4 days to let some things go. If you have the time and patience to grapple with it, that's great..but it's really okay to leave some of the stuff out!!

Yes, I think the vellum was too light, you can see all of the words underneath on the first page of the program.

I may just try to use it as a blank cover on top.

I also thought last night that maybe we should not have programs. But, you have not met my mother. I know I should not listen to her and her friend's 'suggestions'. But it is easier to get the programs done then to listen to her and her cronies pick apart the fact that we did not have programs. It is just not worth me stressing about it right before the wedding!!!

Can you put a sheet of card stock or paper between the vellum and the page with writing?
and maybe put a drawin on the page?

Im confused - vellum is SUPPOSED to be see through. What is the problem?

I think the problem I am having is that we have a little paragraph with a thank you to all of my guests on the page immediately after the cover with vellum so you see the cover with the title and then underneath you see all of the words and it looks bad.

So am I correct in assuming you didnt realize the vellum was transparent?

If thats the case, just create another 'cover page' to put in between the vellum and the interior pages. You can leave it blank or put a little drawing or photo on it.

How about something like this:
Get a cardstock cover (plain ecru - cheap) & add a 'cover page' like

The marriage celebration
of
'your name'
and
'his name'


a picture of some kind


date
Church
town, NY

Then print your thank-you message inside the cover & use the vellum on top! It'll be beautiful

Well since you are only 4 days away and don't want to fuss, I am sure it looks fine as it is! But like I said, a picture of you guys would look cute too.
