of course, you can do it however you want. that's how my processional is going to be. but, mine won't be walking down the aisle together. they will come down separate staircases and then meet in the middle and then go stand at the altar.

We are doing this:

brides mom/dad
grooms mom/dad
brides gp
grooms gp

and then the rest of the family can just sit anywhere. but, remember that my wedding is not a formal wedding, so some things may be different for a formal wedding.
