Procession order - Is this weird?

Procession order - Is this weird?

Hi ladies (and gents),

We're trying to figure out how to work the procession. This is what we've come up with so far:

Best Man & Bridesmaid
Man of Honor & Bridesmaid
Junior Groomsman & Junior Bridesmaid
Ring Bearer and Flower Girl
Bride and Parents

Question #1 - is it really weird to have the Groom standing by himself and the Best Man walk a bridesmaid down? (My FH is happy with this setup.) We like the idea of coupling everyone up.

Question #2 - should the Groom's parents and
all the grandparents be included in the procession too?

We're Christian (not Catholic), but are having more of a spiritual ceremony.

Thank you all for your help!

I don't think that sounds wierd. We're doing something a little different too. Both my parents are deceased and so is grooms father, so that's why we have this extended family/bridal party thing going on:

2 Aunts walking down and lighting decorative ceremony candles

groom walks mother to her seat and takes his place

Uncle walks Aunt and they take their seats

groomsmen walks other aunt and they take their seats

groomsman and bridesmaid walk and then sit

best man walks maid of honor and take their place

uncle walks bride

I am not Catholic or Christian..so I can't help on the religon thing. But, I think every wedding I have ever been too has included the Groom's Parents. What if FMIL & FFIL walk down your FH? Just a thought, its up to you.
I think the coupling thing is a great idea so it looks even and if FH likes it then go for it!

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I was under the impression that the groomsman walk down alone, but walk back with bridemaids.
