Procession Question

So it looks like FFIL is not coming to the wedding because he and FH got into a fight 2 weeks ago. Mature, I know. So now FMIL is asking that FH walk her to her seat for the ceremony. I think it's a nice idea, but how do I coordinate this? Originally, I was going to have the GMs and FH be standing up front and my BMs would walk in alone. FH suggested he and the GMs still stand up front and when FMIL reaches the middle of the aisle, he meet her and walk her the rest of the way to her seat. Does that work, or do you have any other suggestions? I have an uneven number of girls and guys (4 BMs and 3 GM) so I don't want them to walk in together.

I would either do it the way your FH suggested or just have the GM at the front and then have your FH walk his Mom down the aisle and then join the GM up front after he seats her. I have seen it done like that many times.
