I went to get a head of lettuce at the fruit store today. I saw prices anywhere from 1.29-1.99!! . I would be out of my mind if I paid 1.99 for a head of lettuce. I found a place for lettuce that charged .99. I hope the produce prices come down soon.

I know! Prices have been driving me nuts. I bought ONE green pepper the other day for over $2.00!! Tomatoes are absolutely ridiculous as well....I used to buy a container of grape tomatoes for $1.79, and now at the same store, they are around $3.99! It's making me eat less salad, which is not good!

groceries in general are obscene. we went to the stop and shop in woodbury yesterday... i think we'll stick to shoprite in plainview. a bit farther, but more stuff on sale.
