Productive Evening! (Updated with a question)

Well ladies, Gary was able to steam open all of the invitations without disaster. He saved the day Now I can get some stamps and put them on the RSVPs.

Also, I booked the limo for my Bachelorette/Birthday Party. Five hours for an 8-passenger limo cost $300 total, including tax and gratuity. That is with Alexis Limousine, the same company we hired for our wedding. The guy there named Ray is the one we deal with and he is the greatest.

So glad the steaming worked out for you and you didn't have to replace the envelopes.

Re: Productive Evening!

Is this a problem?

Our stamps for the invitations are going to cost 0.49 each. There is only one 0.50 stamp available and it has Amelia Airheart or someone on it with a plane in the background.

I don't want to use that one, but Gary doesn't want to spend an extra 11 cents each for the LOVE or FLOWER stamps.

What should we do?

hmmmm - are you sure that's the ONLY stamp available at that price, or was it just the only one at your post office?

I think you can check on the USPS website
www.usps.com

how many envelopes are we talking about?

I didn't think it could cost 49 cents. I thought 1 ounce cost 37cents & 1-2 oz cost 60, and that's why they made the stamps that way. I would double check how much it is going to cost.

We are talking only about 36 envelopes. I checked the USPS site and they don't have any 50 cent stamps.

Personally I would get the .60 stamps that are prettier but that is just me!

Uggh, I would just do the 50 cents stamp. Do people really notice the stamps? But if it's really important to you, then just pay the $12 or whatever it is.

I highly doubt people even pay attention to the stamps...most of the time they just rip it open

I notice stamps on invitations, but usually when it's a pretty stamp I don't think about the subject...just that it's somehting different than the flag I usually see!

It will cost less than $5 for 36 envelopes @ $.11...I'd go for it!!!
