Professional make-up lines

Professional make-up lines

What do the pros use?

What line of make-up are you girls using for the big day?

What do you use for day to day?

What's the difference?

I am looking to stock up on products, but do not know what line to go with. Is there really one good line, or should I mix and match depending on the product?

Thanks!

Well, I know that on the runway, most of the make-up used is MAC. You can get makeovers at their counters, but you have to buy 4 products.
I really like the quality and range of colors.

for my sister's wedding we used Makeup Forever and it literally lasted for ever - the entire wedding - we had to really work to get it off ...the guy used the best colors on us - not the typical stuff...wish I knew where he went...
but I wound up buying their stuff for myself in SOHO
I think I should call there and see if they have anyone on LI that does weddings....

I like most MAC products but I find their foundation makes me feel oily. I use Clinque foundation and Mac almost everything else.

'Well, I know that on the runway, nost of the make-up used in MAC.'

this is not entirely true....

I used to work in fashion, backstage at the shows, and most make-up artists have a mish-mosh of a gazillion different lines...from drugstore brands to the most expensive.
They do a lot of blending of different shades/different brands to make colors you couldn't buy.

Don't go on recommendation, go with what works on your skin.
Everyone's skin is different and you have to try a few lines to find out what works best for you.

Any make-up artist will tell you that you should never stick to one line, b/c you limit yourself so much. There is so much out there....you just have to mix and match (like you said in your post).

My make-up artist used some of my colors from Chantecaille, bobbi brown, and some of her own from Trucco and some others....

Good Luck!
