professional teeth whitening

Original post by queenbean

Hey girls, I thought of this because of the braces post. I'm wondering if any of you will be getting your teeth professionally whitened.

I have used crest white strips in the past but considering the real thing...........

The Brite Smile is $299 right now..
I am actually getting it done a week before my wedding.

Ok maybe there is another one that my dentist uses?? I dont know which one it is but I will be calling her to find out b/c she wants to charge me $650 for it. I think that is alot...am i wrong??

650 is a lot. I think I paid 200 or 300.

I got it done last week- it was around 600$ but they also made molds of my teeth for trays to do touchups and enough of the touchup gel for at least a year. The results were amazing but it did hurt a little. The thing that hurt me the most was my gums, but I have used the crest strips before and the pain was comparable to that. I think in the end if you added up the amount you spend on the crest strips (or other) to get the same results as the zoom, in the long run it would be very comparable, and alot more work in my opinion.

---my dentist is in the city, so that may be why it was so expensive compared to you girls who paid 300, but I am not sure if yours included the trays??

Thanks so much. Yes she is giving me the trays etc...so maybe thats why its that much $$. Im going to do it anyway. I really like my dentist too so I was hoping not to have to go anywhere else.

Re: professional teeth whitening

I don't know if you can tell from my pics, but I always get comments about how white my teeth are. 3 or 4 years ago I used two crestwhite strip boxes in a row, and I know put them on here or there when I need freshening. I'll try to post some pics, but check out my wedding website on here and you may see some of my results. If your teeth can handle them, I say go for it.

I had professional whitening beforehand, and it didn't work.

Just don't use the strips right after you brush. Put them on at least an hour after brushing.

FM if you have anymore questions.

These are great- I used them before i got laminates so i could have the laminates made as white as possible. My teeth whitened a 3-4 shades in like 2 weeks. They usually make a mold just for you so they work better than the store brands.

i also used rembrant whitening toothpaste with it.

Im hoping to swindle Zoom out of my moms boss at cost before the wedding though I think its like 2-300 regularly
