Has anyone looked into the cost difference of having the programs printed vs. printing them yourself? I was thinking of getting paper with pictures on the front and creating my own. But I have noticed while searching a few websites that some of what is being offered has some kind of religious tone to the front of the card. We are not having a religious ceremony. Or should I just have a printer do them. The final decision will be the cost, of course!

Re: Program advice
I am ordering my programs. They are going to cost about $1.00 each. I would have loved to make them but in all honesty, the paper, ink, supplies and all is going to run me a bit more than $1.00 each.

Re: Program advice
I agree. I paid $1.25 for each program and it was worth it.

Re: Program advice
I'm doing mine on the computer. I LOVE to do computer graphics and such. I knew from the beginning I would make my own. I made my own RD invitation, engagement invitation and all my labels.

Re: Program advice
I just did mine through the church And do not get equal # of programs for guest since not all of them come to the church. When I walked in I had maybe 40 people But when we had the receiving line it was waaaaaaaaaaaay more..i guess they thought I would be late

Re: Program advice
I'm interested to know where you got your programs printed from also. It's much cheaper than I thought it would be, but I'm still torn with the idea of creating them myself.

check out whiteaisle - i was just on there right now and they had some very pretty ones you can buy for fairly cheap and then do some assembling yourself.

Re: Program advice
I made mine myself...simply bifold ones. I spent about $10 on the paper and used my own printer. I made 100 of them. Including a whole ink cartridge (which I didn't even come close to using) they qwere 40 cents each.

The place where I am getting our invitations.
Invitations by Cathy @ Sweet Nut Hut. She is really great and a vendor on here!

Re: Program advice
I'm making them this week... I would have done it sooner but we had to hammer out the ceremony details.
It' is costing practically nothing to do... We have a laser printer at the home office, and I bought a but-load of satin ribbon from Michaels ...4 spools/$1 I'm getting the paper for like...$20 at staples after work today.
DONE!
It all depends on what you want... We are printing them on one long sheet of parchment and rolling them into scrolls tied with ribbon. I have wood sticks that we are going to try to attatch to the top and bottom for extra effect, but we'll see if it works!
GOOD LUCK! You have plenty of time girl!

I made mine and they were so inexpensive and were not too much work. I got so many compliments on them
