My little cousin is an excellent artist and she is going to draw the front cover of my program. I already showed her something that I liked. My problem is trying to figure out the best and least expensive way to get it copied in color on program/card stock paper. Any suggestions? Also, once I figure that out, would I use vellum paper for the insert? Thanks!!!

Re: Program cover
Color copy machine at Kinkos/Staples/Office Max. In the alternative you can scan the drawing into your computer and then use your own color printer to print it out. I haven't decided which I'm doing yet.
My programs are double-sided print on one piece of card stock and then cut in half and put together - no vellum.

Re: Program cover
You could scan the drawing onto your computer if you have a scanner. Then you could just print at home. But I think you have to check your printer & see if it can handle the thick card stock paper. HTH

Thanks. I checked with staples and they said it would be $.79 a copy. Is that reasonable?

I think Kinkos is less.

Re: Program cover
I would suggest what the person above suggested - see if you can scan the image and then you can save it as a jpeg file or something and use it in whatever program - Word, Publisher, photoshop and print directly on the cover. I would avoid too heavy of a cardstock because they tend to fray when you fold them - sometimes even split or crack. Definitely check the paper (fold it) before you use it to make sure it'll work. You can also get a bone folder to help make a nice crease at the fold.
