Program dedication

Program dedication

I am writing my program now, in fact I'm almost done I'm unsure about how to write the dedication. Three of my grandparents are deceased, one whom I was really close to. I want to dedicate my ceremony to them. What is a tactful way to honor them? How would you word it? TIA!

Re: Program dedication

We are planning to say something like

'grandma, grandpa, although you could not be here with us today, we know you are watching from heaven, and are with us in spirit. We love always.'

We are also having a memory candle on the alter and the pastor is going to say who the candle is in memory of before the ceremony starts. Also, at the reception, we are having a small table with all of my deceased grandparents and Eric's desceased grandparents favorite drinks. It sounds a little weird, but actually my dad came up with the idea, and i really like it.

Thanks Liz! At our reception we are putting our, actually my, grandparent's wedding pictures. I want to keep them with me all day long.

We are saying our grandparents names said during the ceremony in the Prayer of the Faithful.

We're doing something like this too. On our place card table, we are putting his parents and my parents wedding pics, as well as our grandparents wedding pics. Very Very sweet.
