Program Question
Re: Program Question
How many guests do you have in total?
Re: Program Question
I am going to have one per guest just to be safe and that way I will definately have some extras. I think if you are writing out readings, etc. people may want to follow along so that is why I am assuming one per person, not per couple...knowing that most likely not everyone will take one.
Re: Program Question
Be careful, you should ask your church if you can put the readings in the programs. I need permission from my church to print programs for copyright reasons.

Re: Program Question
I am sure the church will approve the readings, but I remember the book we received from the church said to confirm with them before printing programs. It probably has to do with the way it is worded. I guess to be safe so there are no problems just run the program by the priest prior to your wedding day.
Re: Program Question
Every church is different and I don't think there are any issues with printing the readings in the programs. I mean, like Stef said the Bible is not copywrited and they have books printed at church with the readings in them. My church has given no guidelines or rules for programs...guess it just depends on where you are getting married.
Re: Program Question
Oh, ok....maybe the church doesnt want you to go to a lot of trouble printing all the programs just to find that the priest has not approved your ceremony - that makes perfect sense. Good advice!
Re: Program Question
I am expecting 125 guests. I am thinking that since it is a Friday night, some guests may miss the ceremony and only make the reception. I am wondering what other brides have found - what percentage of guests make the ceremony?
Re: Program Question
We had a guantee of 150 guests, 8 children and 8 vendors. We'd estimated about 100 to attend our ceremony thus, I'd made 100 programs--all handmade by myself. We'd didn't include the actual reading but put down the verus/chapter number where it was taken from. We did include a photo (not professional photo) during our courtship, a peom that I've wrote, our wedding websites, and a sentence about a Lithuanian cake in our programs. In the end we've over-estimated the number of programs needed as not many took one or one person per household took one. However, I was not dissappointed as I can give them to guests who did not attend and extras to my bridal party as souvenirs since their names are in it. I'd put some in our scrapbook and to our parents as souvenirs as well. I'd rather have extras than none as I know it won't be wasted since guests will give them to others who can't attend.
