so im writing my programs right now and i have 'The Wedding Party' page..
it starts w/Mother of the Bride and Father of the Bride
followed by Mother of the Groom.....
so now, do i put 'Father of the Groom' and then write 'The late Carl Kuehne Sr.'
or is that in poor taste????
I don't want to hurt anyone by NOT having him listed on the wedding party page, but im just not sure if thats where his name belongs since he technically is not 'There'
he will be in the program as 'In Memory of' with his name and a little quote or something
but i wasnt sure if i should also put him on 'The Wedding Party' page...
please help!

Re: Program Question (deceased FFIL)
I don't think you can put him on the wedding party page bc that's usually who's physically in attendance....
Definitely the 'in memorium' part though!!

yeah its difficult because u don't want to make anything too saddening or too muchfocus on it, but at the same time, it cant be made to be too insignificant either...especially when its a parent...

Re: Program Question (deceased FFIL)
I had the same issue with MIL. I had a In Memory Of page with a poem before I listed the names. Also, when I was doing our invites I had seen another bride mention her father who had passed and thought it was a nice touch. FIL has a girlfriend who we like very much, but we wanted to clearly state that she was not DH's mother. When I approached the store that did my invites about this idea, they told me that it was in poor taste to mention the deceased on the invite. I would assume it would be the same for the programs. We also had bouquets made that matched our flowers to represent my MIL as well as my grandma. They were placed where they would have sat if they were in attendence and before we left for our honeymoon, we placed the flowers at their graves.
