I went to see my priest the other day to hand in my precana certificate. I asked him when we can come in to finalize the readings and songs and stuff he says 2 weeks before the wedding. im like really ??? i want to make my programs like NOW!
Hes like we have plenty of time .........
did anyone make there programs and stuff without finalizing it with the church ??
i dunno what to do he wont meet with us before

We didn't finalize it until about 3 weeks before and made them then. Are you DIYing these programs? You can always do the entire layout and then just fill in the info (readings, music) when you finalize everything and then just print them right away.
Orrrr if you're keeping it pretty traditional, you could probably go ahead and do them now. I don't know how strict your church is but if you keep it traditional I doubt they'd tell you to change anything!

i finalized everything the saturday before the wedding .....start working on it now and then just make the last minute changes/additions when you have the meeting with him

I'm not meeting with my priest until 4 days before the wedding because he took Aug off and would not meet with me 'too early'

I had everything made before finalizing it. We didn't finalize until the week before at our rehearsal and I wasn't waiting that long.
