Is everyone having programs? Do you have to have them ? We are just finishing the invitations, and the thought of having to now make programs is making my head spin!

Programs
Yes, but I'm going to ask my Aunt if she can do them. She's a wiz with that sort of thing!!

You don't have to have them.
I am using them, but I've been to several weddings that didn't. Most people just throw them away anyway. But it's a nice way to recognize everyone in your wedding party, your family, and give guests a guide to the service so that they no what is going on during the ceremony.

You don`t have to have them.
I didn't use any. It was a small wedding w/ no bridal party or reading and everyone knew who we were! Hey remember, it's your wedding. You don't Have to have anything you don't want.

We`re doing them
I really believe it`s going to be easier to do the programs than the invitations. Just make the original, than run `em. I think they`re a nice way for people to know who`s who, plus it is a nice way to follow along. We`re planning to include our readings on the program to make it easier to understand what`s being said. It`s definitely your choice. I`ve been to weddings where they have and haven`t been done. And while people will probably toss them ... just remember, the flowers will die, and favors will go unused .. but that doesn`t mean you don`t do them. Basically, for some, the programs will be a nice little added touch, and I`d like to include one in a scrap book, and maybe even have the photographer use it with the invitation shot at the reception. If you choose not to do it, make sure you won`t regret it later.

Are you using that tri-fold template that been around this board? I am going to use that one, but can't see how i'd fit the reading on there, though its a good idea.

We're doing the tri-fold...
We're interfaith and incorporating traditions from both religions, so we're goig to include our two readings, the Seven Hebrew Wedding blessings, list the bridal party, thank you to family and friends, and mention that the memorial candle is in memory of our two fathers and my brother. All on a tri-fold!! A program isn't a requirement, it's a personal choice, I personally always enjoy reading the program and now I wish I saved some of them over the years!!!

Simple Program Template!
I'm all tapped out of money but wanted to have a very simple program for my wedding on August 5th at the Milleridge. We found a very simple word template that has come out great and was easy to use... just download from this site. it has a picture of what it looks like too. Good Luck http://www.yourweddingday.com/free.htm

This is a good job for someone else;
someone who has offered to help you and happens to be really good with computers. My future MIL is making them; we're telling her what kind of paper we want and she will pick it up and wait for us to send her the info (she's in upstate NY.) Take people up on their offers to help. I have 16 days and my head is spinning so much it may very well fall off before the wedding:-) Good luck and let us know what you decide to do. I know how the feeling of being overwhelmed goes.
